1.32.1

2026-10-06 · build 1791

Security

  • A web page can no longer control InterDirector. InterDirector's local control connection, which the Stream Deck plug-in and Bitfocus Companion use on this Mac, could also be reached by a web page open in a browser on the same Mac. It now refuses any connection that comes from a web page. The Stream Deck and Companion are not affected; to control a Show from a browser, use the web remote, which asks for its password.

1.32.0

2026-10-06 · build 1776

Added

  • The startup window lists your recent Shows. Under Start Fresh and Open Existing Show, the Shows you opened last are listed by name and folder; click one to open it. The four newest are shown, and Show More lists the rest. A Show that has been moved or deleted is left out.

1.31.0

2026-10-06 · build 1771

Added

  • An NDI input can take another input's sound. On its Audio tab, Audio source now offers another input's sound, such as a microphone on an Audio input, or None, as it already did for a camera or a network input. An NDI input set to receive audio only keeps its own sound.

Fixed

  • A network input whose sender stamps its sound and its picture on different clocks — a phone's SRT stream was seen with its sound twelve seconds behind its pictures — no longer loses its sound for minutes at a time. When the two disagree by more than a second, InterDirector places each as it arrives, and the journal says so: the sender is then out of lip sync by its own doing, and only the sender can put that right.

  • A mixer strip's meter no longer stays grey after its source reconnects while its sound is playing. It used to come back only when something else redrew the strip, such as moving its fader.

Changed

  • An input's mixer strip shows that it is on air in its meter's track, tinted in coral, so you can see a source is reaching a bus even while it is silent and its meter reads nothing. Master, the buses and Solo are not tinted.

1.30.1

2026-10-05 · build 1765

Fixed

  • A network input from a sender on an unsteady link, such as a phone on a mobile connection, no longer has its timing moved every time the link pauses for a moment. Each of those moves could cut its sound out for seconds and, in the worst case, leave Master silent while the input's strip still showed sound. Only a real difference between the sender's clock and this Mac's moves it now, as it always did for NDI sources on a local network.

  • The sound of a live source whose timing had to be corrected — NDI, a network input, a Blackmagic card or a window — is no longer heard twice over itself for a moment afterwards, and can no longer fall silent for good because it had drifted ahead of the mix. It catches up by skipping a moment of its own sound instead.

  • When a source's sound stops reaching the mix for any reason, InterDirector now places it again by itself within a couple of seconds, and keeps trying while it needs to, where before only stopping and starting the source brought it back. The journal says when it does.

1.30.0

2026-10-05 · build 1750

Added

  • Several actions on one key. A hotkey can now run a list of actions, each after a wait you set from the one before, up to 60 seconds: cut to a camera, put the lower third on, take it off five seconds later, all from one press. Press Add Action under a hotkey's action in Controls. Pressing the key again starts the list over, and if any of its actions would ask first, such as stopping the stream, it asks once when you press it. On a Stream Deck key, the web remote and Companion it lights as its first action would.

Fixed

  • Opening a Show while another is open replaces it, as New Show does: if anything is on air you are warned first, you are asked about unsaved changes, and the outputs are stopped properly before the other Show opens. The Show that was open used to stay running behind the new one. Opening the Show that is already open just brings it forward.

Changed

  • Shows saved by this version open in this version or later. Earlier versions cannot open them; keep this version on every Mac that opens the same Shows.

1.29.1

2026-10-05 · build 1739

Changed

  • Support has its own address, support@interdirector.com. When a report cannot be sent from Help ▸ Report an Issue…, InterDirector now points you there. Replies to your reports come from it too.

1.29.0

2026-10-05 · build 1729

Added

  • Report an Issue. Choose Help ▸ Report an Issue… to tell us when something goes wrong: say what happened, give an email address for a reply, and add up to five screenshots. The Show journal, InterDirector's own lines from the macOS log, its crash reports and a summary of your Mac go with it, and you can leave out any but the summary. Gather Files shows you every file and its size, in a folder you can open, before anything is sent, and nothing leaves your Mac until you press Send. Your Show itself is never sent. It needs a licence or a trial.

Changed

  • The journal says when an input's sound stops reaching the mix, and when it comes back. If the mix has to throw away an input's sound for two seconds in a row, because it arrives too late or too far ahead to be played, the journal names the input and says which. Its strip's meter can still move then, while Master stays silent, so this is what tells you which source to look at. Only inputs routed to a bus and not muted are watched.

Fixed

  • A network input whose sender sends uneven timestamps could be read as running at 90000 frames a second, which the journal then said and the input timed its pictures by. A rate no camera has is now ignored, and the input keeps to 30 until the stream gives a real one. A stream's journal line now says no picture yet when it is written before a picture arrived, rather than leaving the size out.

  • A centred lower third has the same room as a left- or right-aligned one. In Lower Third 1 Line, 2 Lines and 3 Lines, centred text wrapped onto a new line at about half the picture's width. It now runs up to the same width as the other alignments before it wraps, so a long name or title that took two lines may now fit on one.

1.28.0

2026-10-04 · build 1709

Added

  • A Window input. Choose Add Input ▸ Window to bring in one window of another app on your Mac, such as slides, a browser or a video call, with that app's sound. It works like a camera: Preview, Program, framing, colour, the multiview, a Composite and input recording. It is remembered by its app and title, and comes back by itself when the app or the window does; if the title has changed, it shows the app's main window. It needs macOS's Screen Recording permission, which InterDirector asks for the first time you add one.

  • A clock, a date and a stopwatch in overlay text, beside the countdown. Type [clock], [date] or [stopwatch] into any text value, or build one with the Shortcode Generator in the overlay's settings (until now the Countdown Generator): the clock in 24 or 12 hours, the date with its weekday and month in the language you choose, and the stopwatch counting from the overlay going on air, starting again each time, or from a time you choose.

Changed

  • Choosing an overlay's package is one menu, when you add an overlay and in its settings: the built-in overlays, then Your Own Package… to browse for a folder of your own. Adding one starts on the first built-in, so it is ready to add, and there is no longer a "None" to start from.

  • Shows saved by this version open in this version or later. Earlier versions cannot open them; keep this version on every Mac that opens the same Shows.

1.27.0

2026-10-04 · build 1688

Added

  • A Recording section on the Statistics card, for Program recording and for your inputs recording to their own files: how long each has been recording, how large the files are so far, Program's dropped frames, and how many inputs are recording and how many have a problem. It replaces the recording line in what is now Disk space; a card that showed the disks shows it too.

  • The Statistics card shows how long each stream destination has been live, beside what it is sending. A destination that drops and comes back counts again from then. A long destination name is shortened rather than running into its figures.

Changed

  • The mixer's own strips stand out: Master has a faint red background, Bus A and Bus B a faint cyan, and Solo a faint yellow. The lines between strips now run the full height of the mixer.

  • Shows saved by this version open in this version or later. Earlier versions cannot open them; keep this version on every Mac that opens the same Shows.

Fixed

  • A recording's size in the Recording settings, and in the Input Recording window, stayed at 0 MB however long it ran. It now grows with the file.

1.26.1

2026-10-03 · build 1675

Changed

  • The journal says why a network input dropped (SRT, RTMP or RTSP): how long it had been live, and whether the stream came to its end, nothing arrived for a few seconds, or the connection was lost. It helps tell a sender's fault from the network's.

Fixed

  • A network input carrying sound and no picture (an audio-only SRT or RTMP feed) now shows Live once its sound arrives. It played, but was shown as still waiting for a sender.

  • A network input's line in the journal could give its picture size as 0×0 when it first connected. It now gives the size of the first picture.

1.26.0

2026-10-03 · build 1671

Added

  • The multiview over NDI. Tick Multiview in the NDI settings to send your multiview as its own NDI source, beside Program, at your Show's resolution and frame rate, with no sound. It shows the same layout as a multiview display, and is named after your Show, as Program is.

Changed

  • Shows saved by this version open in this version or later. Earlier versions cannot open them; keep this version on every Mac that opens the same Shows.

  • The journal says when NDI starts, stops or fails, what it put on the network, and when what it is set to send changes.

Removed

  • The Preview option in the NDI settings, which was never available. Preview is not sent over NDI; a display set to Preview, or the multiview, shows it.

1.25.0

2026-10-03 · build 1662

Added

  • A Statistics input. Add a live card of your show's numbers from Add Input ▸ Statistics: each stream destination's status and what it is sending, your Mac's processor, graphics and memory, free space on every drive you record to and the recording's time and dropped frames, and the Master, Bus A and Bus B meters. Choose which parts it shows. Like any source, it can go in the multiview, Preview, Program or a Composite.

  • Multiview on a display. In the External setup, set a display to Multiview to show Program, Preview and your sources at once, each in its own window with its name and a red or green border while it is on Program or in Preview. Build your own layout in Tools ▸ Multiview Layout…: add windows, drag them into place and resize them, choose what each shows, and save layouts as presets to use in any Show. Until you do, a display shows Preview and Program above your first eight sources.

Changed

  • Shows saved by this version open in this version or later. Earlier versions cannot open them; keep this version on every Mac that opens the same Shows.

  • Add Input lists the kinds of source by name, with Composite, Replay and Statistics always last.

Fixed

  • The peak hold mark stays on a mixer meter while you drag its fader, moving with the bar, rather than disappearing until you let go.
