Terms of sale
These terms explain how you buy an InterDirector licence, and hours of InterDirector ReCast, our service for restreaming from the cloud (section 2). They are between you and Interwebbi Solutions (Liinakonkatu 12 B 9, 33580 Tampere, Finland; Business ID 3133828-2), called “we”, for what concerns the licence and the service, and they sit beside the terms of the company that sells it to you (section 1). They do not take away a right you have as a consumer under mandatory law. Written on 21 September 2026, updated on 14 October 2026 for InterDirector ReCast and on 23 October 2026 for when its hours begin.
1. Who you buy from
You buy through Polar, which runs the checkout. Polar acts as the merchant of record and authorised reseller: it is the company that takes your payment, collects and pays the tax due, and sends you the receipt or invoice. Its details are Polar Software, Inc., 3500 South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901, United States. When you buy, you agree to Polar’s own terms for the checkout and the payment, which Polar shows you there and which you can read in full at polar.sh/legal/checkout-buyer-terms, and you receive a licence from us on the terms of the software licence agreement, or, for ReCast, the service on the terms of service for InterDirector ReCast.
Interwebbi Solutions makes and supports InterDirector, and grants the licence. Polar sells it. This split is how the checkout works, and it does not reduce anything you are entitled to.
2. What you buy
You buy a licence for InterDirector, as a subscription for a period, and what it covers is set out in the licence agreement: use on up to two Macs, all features, updates for as long as it lasts. The checkout shows which subscriptions are offered, what each costs, and how often it renews, before you pay. The price includes the tax that applies to your billing address.
Before you buy, you can try InterDirector without paying for 14 days on each Mac, with a small mark on Program, and without giving any payment details.
You can also buy hours of InterDirector ReCast: 24 hours, 48 hours or a week of a ReCast of your own, as a single purchase that does not renew. What it is and how it is used are in its terms of service. Its hours run from the moment you buy, not from when you first use it, so the checkout asks you to confirm that you want them to begin at once (section 5). ReCast needs a licensed InterDirector, or one in its free trial.
3. What happens after you pay
Your licence key is sent to the email address you gave at the checkout, normally within moments. Enter it in InterDirector to start using it. The key lasts for the period you have paid for. A ReCast key comes the same way: enter it in InterDirector’s ReCast window, under Tools ▸ ReCast…, and its hours are already running. If you have not received it, look in your spam folder, then write to us.
4. Renewal and cancelling
A subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it, and you are charged then. You can cancel at any time, in the customer portal that Polar gives you, or by writing to us or to Polar. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your licence carries on until the end of the period you have already paid for, and InterDirector behaves as described in the licence agreement after that. You can also pause a subscription in the customer portal. A pause does not end your licence at once: it goes on working until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then it stops working until you resume the subscription.
If the price of a subscription changes, Polar’s terms say you are told in advance, and you can cancel before it applies to you.
ReCast hours do not renew: nothing is charged after the purchase. To run longer, buy more hours.
5. If you change your mind, or something is wrong
We do not offer a refund beyond what the law gives you. That is a considered choice, and it is why the free trial exists: to let you find out before you pay. Polar’s terms say that refunds follow the applicable law and the applicable refund policy, and that they do not limit any consumer right that cannot be waived; this section is that refund policy. What the law gives you is this:
- Consumers in the EU and EEA can cancel a purchase within 14 days, without giving a reason, and get the payment back. The law lets a seller take that right away for digital content and services that begin at once, but only if the buyer asks for them to begin during the 14 days and confirms that this ends the right. Polar’s checkout does not ask for that, so you keep the right, whether or not you have used InterDirector in the meantime. It runs for 14 days from the day of the purchase.
- ReCast hours begin when you first start ReCast. Until then you can cancel within 14 days of the purchase and get the whole payment back. If you start ReCast within the 14 days, you ask for the hours to begin, and if you cancel you get back the part of the price for the hours not yet run; once all of them have run, the purchase cannot be cancelled. Ending ReCast early in InterDirector is not cancelling: the hours keep running (see its terms of service).
- If InterDirector or ReCast does not work as promised, you have the rights the law gives you for digital content and digital services: to have it put right, and, if that fails, to a price reduction or to end the contract. Write to us and tell us what is wrong.
- Subscription payments for a period that has already passed are not refunded when you cancel after the 14 days. You keep the licence until the end of the period.
- Buyers who are not consumers, and consumers outside the EU and EEA, have the rights that the law of their country gives them, and otherwise the terms above.
To use one of these rights, write to info@interdirector.com, or to Polar at support@polar.sh. Polar makes the refund, since it took the payment.
6. Problems with payment, invoices and tax
Payments, receipts, invoices and tax are Polar’s: write to support@polar.sh. Problems with InterDirector itself, and with your licence key, are ours: info@interdirector.com.
7. Your personal data
What we and Polar do with the data you give when you buy is in the privacy notice for customers and in Polar’s privacy policy.
8. Law and disputes
Finnish law applies to your licence and to ReCast, and section 15 of the licence agreement and section 8 of ReCast’s terms of service say where a dispute is heard. Polar’s terms for the checkout say which law applies to the payment; the mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live applies whatever they say.
