Terms of service for InterDirector ReCast
These terms are between Interwebbi Solutions, Liinakonkatu 12 B 9, 33580 Tampere, Finland (Business ID 3133828-2), called “we”, and you, the person or organisation that bought hours of InterDirector ReCast, called “you”. They cover InterDirector ReCast, called “ReCast”: a service of ours in the cloud that receives your Program from InterDirector, sends it on to the platforms you choose, and keeps them live with a slate while your connection drops. How you buy it is in the terms of sale; InterDirector itself is covered by the software licence agreement. By starting ReCast you accept these terms. Nothing in them takes away a right you have as a consumer under mandatory law. Written on 14 October 2026, updated on 23 October 2026 for when your hours begin.
1. What you are given
A ReCast key gives you a ReCast of your own for the hours you bought: 24 hours, 48 hours or a week. You start it from InterDirector, in the region you choose, and it runs on a server of ours that no one else uses. Through its page you send your stream on to up to six platforms, including a portrait version for Instagram and TikTok, and record what it receives.
We give you the right to use ReCast for those hours. We do not give you its software: it runs on our servers, and it and everything in it stay ours.
2. When your hours run
Your hours start when your key first starts ReCast, and from then they keep running whether a ReCast is running or not. Start it within 12 months of buying the key; after that its hours can no longer be started. InterDirector and ReCast’s own page show the time left, and InterDirector warns you half an hour and five minutes before the end. At the end of your hours ReCast stops, its server is deleted, and what goes out through it stops with it.
You can end ReCast earlier with End… in InterDirector. While your hours last, you can start it again, with a new address and login. To run longer, buy more hours and add them with Add Hours…: their hours are added after the hours already running.
Ending ReCast early, or not using all of your hours, does not by itself give you money back. Your right to cancel a purchase is in section 5 of the terms of sale.
3. Using ReCast
You need a licensed InterDirector, or one in its free trial, to start and use ReCast. Any of your Macs with the key can use it during its hours, one at a time.
You are responsible for what you stream through ReCast, and for having the right to stream it, and for following the terms of the platforms you send it to. You may not use ReCast for anything unlawful, to infringe another person’s rights, or to harm or overload our service or anyone else’s. We do not watch what you stream. If ReCast is used against these terms, we may end it, and if it was used unlawfully, the hours left are not refunded.
Keep ReCast’s login to yourself and the people who look after your stream. Anyone with it can change where your stream goes.
4. Your stream, your settings and your recordings
What you send to ReCast passes through its server to your platforms. We do not keep, watch or use your stream. To give a replacement server what yours had (section 5), we keep the settings of ReCast’s page, your platforms’ addresses and stream keys among them, while it runs, and delete them when it ends. Recordings stay on its server: download any you want before ReCast ends, because they are deleted with it. The privacy notice for customers says the rest.
5. If something fails
ReCast runs on servers we rent from Hetzner. We do not guarantee that it is always available. If its server is lost, we start another automatically, with the same address and login, give it your page’s settings back, and start sending to the platforms that were receiving, usually within a minute or two. An uploaded loop and the recordings are not carried over. Your hours keep running while that happens, and time lost to an outage is not given back. If no server of the right kind can be had in the region you chose, ReCast says so and suggests another region.
This does not take away the rights the law gives you if ReCast does not work as promised: to have it put right, and, if that fails, to a price reduction or to end the contract. Write to us and tell us what went wrong.
6. What we are responsible for
ReCast is a tool for your broadcast, and how you use it is yours. We are not responsible for losses that follow from a broadcast being interrupted, from a platform refusing or ending a stream, or from a recording being lost, except as the law requires. Our liability for ReCast is limited to the price you paid for the hours in question.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or the rights a consumer has under the law on digital content and digital services. Where you are a consumer, this section applies only as far as those rights allow.
7. Changes
We may change ReCast and these terms. A change does not shorten hours you have already bought or take away what they include. Changes are published on this page, and one that matters to you is announced in the changelog.
8. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Finnish law. If you are a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live, and you may take a dispute to the courts of that country. A dispute with a business customer is heard in the Pirkanmaa District Court (Pirkanmaan käräjäoikeus) in Tampere, Finland.
