The Statistics input
A Statistics input is a card of your show’s own numbers, kept up to date as you work. Add one from Add Input ▸ Statistics; a Show has one. It is a source like any other, so you can watch it on its input card, give it a window in the multiview, or put it in Preview, on Program or in a Composite.
What it shows
Turn each part on or off in its settings, at any time:
- Stream destinations: each destination’s name, whether it is live, connecting, retrying or failed, and what it actually sent over the last second.
- System: how busy your Mac’s processor and graphics are, and how much memory InterDirector is using.
- Disk and recording: whether Program is recording, for how long, and any dropped frames; and the free space on every drive a recording goes to (Program recording, input recording and replay), each drive once. A drive turns amber when it is nearly full and red when under 20 GB is left.
- Bus meters: Master, Bus A and Bus B, live, and Solo when it has an output, coloured and held as the mixer’s are.
The card changes twice a second, or ten times a second while the meters are on it, and costs nothing while nothing on it changes. It shows what InterDirector already knows, so having it on does not make your Mac measure anything more.
Next
NDI, SDI and the external display, to show the card on a screen of its own in the multiview.
